The level of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the Earth's atmosphere has fluctuated over time. During the past 800,000 years, the atmospheric CO2 concentration has generally ranged from about 180 to 300 parts per million (ppm).
The current atmospheric CO2 concentration is about 420 ppm, which is much higher than the levels that have been observed over the past 800,000 years. This increase in CO2 concentration is largely due to human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, which have released large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
There is evidence that the Earth's climate is sensitive to changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations, and that the current high levels of CO2 could have significant impacts on the Earth's climate and ecosystems. To address these concerns, some scientists and policymakers have proposed limiting the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere to levels that are safer for the planet. One proposal is to limit atmospheric CO2 to 280 ppm, which is the lower end of the range that has been observed over the past 800,000 years.
Our vision is a world where humanity lives in harmony with the natural environment, powered by clean, renewable energy and with safe levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. We envision a future where we can all thrive, with a healthy climate, abundant natural resources, and a sustainable economy for all, while living peacefully together.
Our mission is to promote a sustainable and peaceful future for all by driving local and global investments in 100% renewable energy and atmospheric decarbonization technologies. Our goal is to reduce greenhouse gas levels to safe levels, with a focus on reducing CO2 to 280 ppm and CH4 to 600 ppb. We believe that through profitable and innovative solutions, we can create a better world for current and future generations.
